As part of a semester long project, we evaluated DoSomething.org by collecting heuristic and observation data, speaking directly with the website’s users, and modeling interaction through personas, scenarios and interaction maps. For each method used, we provided our client with a report summarizing our work and our recommendations. By combining observation evaluation and user-study approaches, we were able to discover both strengths in the website’s current design and conceptual gaps that could lead to user confusion and frustration.
